　　政治喜剧，讲述Nick Nolte扮演的前总统在任期后25年幡然醒悟之前他提的政策将对国家有数十年的损坏，因此决定伙同年轻的助理（Skylar Astin饰）开始一场唐吉歌德般的“旅程”改正他之前的政策错误，而他的老婆，前第一夫人也下决心开展自己的政治野心。

　　以消防员、新闻人、民众等不同身份的多个角色的不同视角，来回顾这次事故，将“重建时间线、再现大火前后，他们（事件相关的人）将必须互相去斗争、热爱、遇见、仇恨、帮助和对彼此展现笑容，这样，到头来，他们才有重新开始的机会”。
