　　英谈女人水秀在丈夫冯玉泉采石被砸伤并失往生养能力后，她默默承受着巨大的精神压力，用大山里女人的淳朴固守着瘫痪丈夫。在她家宅基地被邻居占有时，她为了古建筑的完美和自己的正当权益打起了官司，并为了保护女性尊严而痛苦地砸毁石板场。终极，她不甘平庸、带领留守妇女共同开创致富道路，当选为村长并带领乡亲把英谈旅游业搞得红红火火。

　九十年代非洲塞拉利昂，连连战火使这片土地饱受摧残，非法钻石贸易日益猖獗。
　　阿彻（莱昂纳多•迪卡普里奥 饰）是一个地道的战争贩子，靠倒卖战区钻石为生，他在监狱中无意得知渔夫所罗门手里有极品粉钻。意识到这是自己离开非洲的机会，出狱后，他找到所罗门，准备和他一起找出钻石，离开非洲。
　　所罗门是普通的渔民，因为内战和家人分离，被叛军强制开采钻石，他发现一颗极品粉钻，藏了起来；战乱来临，所罗门进了监狱，后被阿彻救出，并在战地记者麦迪•鲍文(珍妮弗•康纳利 饰)的帮助下，找到了失散的家人，此时，他的儿子迪亚却被叛军带走，生死未卜。
　　悲愤的所罗门答应和阿彻合作，在叛军的控制范围内寻找钻石，并寻找儿子。
　　两个截然不同的人，因为一颗血钻将命运联系在了一起。

　　Beverly和Violet（梅丽尔·斯特里普 Meryl Streep 饰）是一对老夫妻了，如今的他们，一个靠喝酒，另一个靠嗑药来维持这段夫妻关系。一天早上，Beverly出了家门后就再也没回来，Violet只能把他们的三个女儿还有她的表妹、表妹夫叫到家里来。二女儿Ivy来到了，之后大女儿Barbara（朱莉娅·罗伯茨 Julia Roberts 饰）和丈夫Bill（伊万·麦克格雷格 Ewan McGregor 饰）也带着14岁的女儿远道而来。噩耗随即传来，警察在湖里发现了Beverly的尸体，死因是自杀。小女儿Karen带着未婚夫赶到了葬礼。葬礼后的餐桌上，嗑药过头的Violet开始发脾气，而各怀心事的女儿们也如坐针毡。大女儿Barbara受不了母亲的刻薄，两人大声争吵起来，这个家庭潜藏着的种种矛盾和那些刻意隐瞒的真相也渐渐显露出来......

　　新兴宗教团体“美丽人生（Life is Beautiful）”，第三代教主吉川路易（藤原龙也 饰）风流倜傥，言辞极具煽动性。在一个醉酒的夜晚，路易搭乘酒吧结识的神秘美女流美（水原希子 饰）的汽车，对方的身份却让他着实一惊。未久，飞驰的跑车在某隧道内与一辆机车惨烈相撞。对方当场死亡，流美重伤昏迷不醒，路易则只受轻伤，逃过一劫。在此之后，教主的姐姐樱（原田麻由 饰）安排弟弟去南方某个小岛暂避风头，并雇用新野（松田龙平 饰）等三名保镖护卫路易的安全。与死神擦肩而过的路易切身感到生死无常，他试图解散教团，却遭到以母亲（大楠道代 饰）为首的一众高层强烈反对。
　　风景如画的海边，死亡的气息肆意蔓延……

　　Howard Tyler (Frank Lovejoy) is a family man, living in California, who can't seem to get by financially. He meets up with a small-time, but charismatic, hood Jerry Slocum (Lloyd Bridges). Soon, Slocum convinces Tyler to participate in gas station robberies to get by. Later, they kidnap a wealthy man in hopes of getting a huge ransom. Things go wrong when the man is murdered by Slocum then thrown in a lake. Tyler reaches his limit emotionally, and he begins drinking heavily. He meets a lonely woman and confesses the crime while drunk. The woman flees and goes to the police.
　　When the two kidnappers are arrested, a local journalist (Richard Carlson) writes a series of hate-filled articles about the two prisoners which eventually lead to a brutal lynching.
　　The despair of the lower middle-class: A family man ashamed of being unemployed allows himself to be convinced by a gangster to take part in a kidnapping. The police arrests them both and the anger of the small town’s population is unforgiving. THE SOUND OF FURY is a dark crime movie that builds up to an apocalyptic storm, but never loses sight of social realities, thus telling a lot about the daily despair of the working-class. A masterpiece, it was Cy Endfield’s last film before he felt compelled to move to Britain.

“Sangen Om Den Eldröda Blomman” ( “Song Of The Scarlet Flower” ) was a recent and remarkable silent surprise for this Herr Von; the oeuvre is an excellent Herr Stiller silent film that this German count watched in a newly restored and tinted copy. It combines the well-known aesthetics, technical improvements and artistic merits for which the Nordic director was known and praised since those early silent times till today.                                    
                               The film tells of the merry and carefree love life of young Olof ( Herr Lars Hanson ) a woodsman who during his search for true love, seduces many frauleins ( just like this German aristocrat… well, not exactly because the purpose of this Herr Von’s seduction of rich fräulein heiresses are their great fortunes… ). He will suffer disappointment and deception, all those problems that turn up in any loving relationship. Finally he will find responsibility and maturity, learning during his particular quest that his actions always have consequences in different degrees to the people around him. This Herr Von can describe “Sangen Om…” as a kind of coming of age film, the special introspective growth toward maturity of a free and easy youngster.                                    
                               As this German count said before, the film displays Stiller’s characteristic artistic virtues. ; in the first part of the film, we can see elements of comedy, not exactly like the comedy of intrigues in other Stiller films, but humor of a more cheerful sort, highlighting the self-involvement of our hero. Olof ‘s frivolous flirtations with the different girls eventually turn romantic and then turn into drama. There is conflict in the troubled relationship between Olof and his father and later with the father of his beloved. The beautiful and wild natural landscapes of Norrland and northern Sweden lend the tale a certain power and is characteristic of Herr Stiller’s other silents where Nature emerges as an important character in the story. This is strongly reflected throughout the film but especially during the frantic scene wherein Olof descends into the troubled waters of a river, a beautiful metaphor for the hardships that our hero has to endure until he finds himself.                                    
                               “Sangen Om Den Eldröda Blomman” is an excellent, beautiful film, a solid, technically perfect and intricate production of 1919 that demonstrates once again the importance of Herr Stiller for silent film history.

　　本片是对历史的一种假想，英德间发生了核大战，整个世界笼罩在核爆炸形成的红色烟雾中，到处是战争，到处是血腥的杀戮，人们开始迷失方向，陷入一片恐慌和无聊中……

本片讲述了一对父子之间朦胧迷离的感情。阿列克谢（阿里克谢·尼穆斯霍夫 Aleksei Nejmyshev 饰）的父亲（安德烈·薛提宁 Andrei Shchetinin 饰）是一个退伍军人，父子二人相依为命，父亲离不开儿子，儿子也非常依赖父亲。因为父亲的关系，阿列克 谢也进入了军校，他的父亲经常到军校探视他。某日，阿列克谢的女朋友来到军校向他提出分手，原因似乎就是她难以接受他们父子俩过于亲密的关系。阿列克谢常常做噩梦，醒来后他问母亲在哪里，父亲却无言以对。父亲表示，外地有一份更加高薪的工作等着他，但是父子二人谁也离不开谁。                                    
                               　　他们是父子，有些时候他们像兄弟，有些时候他们像情人。但是他们心里都清楚，终有一天他们会分开，父子俩该何去何从……

　　那辛庭大义凛然、视死如归的胆识和爱国正气，使道长沈九十分钦佩。他为那设宴压惊。那辛庭执意要沈九把全部珍宝如数交还政府。沈九大怒，一席爱国忠言使那震惊不已。化装成采药人的秦得禄被活捉，从他口中得知十二军已发兵围山，并悬赏10万大洋通缉那辛庭。那对党国的幻想破灭了。沈九派人将那辛庭蒙上双眼穿峡越谷带入藏兵洞。他看到这里的神龛上供着无数义和团阵亡将士的牌位，地上堆着许多洋枪和东陵珍宝。那辛庭潸然泪下，他深深地被这些真正的炎黄子孙所感动。十二军包围了山寨。朱绶光也派于跃先率部紧跟，沈慧趁乱放走秦得禄，他又带日本浪人从后山密径直奔藏兵洞。郭颂带兵哗变后也轻骑直取深山寻找珍宝的那辛庭。几方夺宝之兵已临谷口，众道人拼死阻击，终因寡不敌众，被迫退于藏兵洞内。道长沈九阵亡，那辛庭为幸存道人和珍宝的安危下山求见阎锡山。他由郭颂保护，以秦得禄为人质来到北平。首先他们将秦得禄的口供在报上发表，继而通过朱绶光向阎锡山提出三个条件。一、择日公展珍宝；二、从速审判孙殿英；三、筹建国家博物馆。蒋介石指令全部接受三个条件。大势已去的孙殿英不甘失败，旋与华莱士握手言好，阴谋刺杀那辛庭未遂，他又派人活捉于跃先，并用重金将其收买。日本浪人差沈慧在展览厅埋炸弹，被作虹发现，作虹终于将这个恶贯满盈的家贼杀死于荒野。
